Pride

Pride is not only thinking we are better than others; pride is also thinking we are worse than others or just being self-conscious.  It doesn’t matter if self is always exalting itself or if it’s debasing itself. It’s all self-centeredness, which is pride. SELF is the mother of pride.

Many people think of pride only as arrogance. But that’s only one manifestation of pride. Timidity and shyness are extreme manifestations of pride.  Pride, at its core, is simply self-centeredness or selfishness. Timid and shy people are extremely self-centered people.

Like it or not, understand it or not, pride is the source of all of our anger.  The only reason we are so easily offended is because we love ourselves so much.  As we deal with our own self-love, anger toward others will be defused. As we die to ourselves, we will be able to love others the way that Jesus did.

If any man would come after me let Him deny self, take up his cross and follow me (Luke 9:23)

Today as you celebrate another birthday, stand on every Word of God,
Eat every Word of God,
Make every Word your very life.

For His Word is perfect, it converts the soul
His Word is sure, it makes wise the simple
His Word is More to be desired than Gold, even much fine Gold
It is sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
You are warned by His Words
The keeping of His Words brings great rewards (Psalms 19:7-11)

Yes! Live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Duet 8:3).  You are a heir of God and joint-heir with Christ. (Romans 8:17).  Thus live by the ‘ALL-INCLUSIVE’ package of God that says His divine power has given you everything you need for life and godliness through your knowledge of Him (2 Peter 1:3)

God, your King commands victories for you. Through Him you will push down the enemies.  Through the Name of the Lord you will trample those who rise up against you. (Psalms 44:4-5)  And no good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly, those who hope in His mercies. (Psalms 84:11)

For from this day, I will bless you.  “For I have chosen you,” says the Lord of Hosts. (Haggai 2:18-23)  Let the glory of God flow through you.  Give it all.  Sow all the seeds you have been given.  Leave nothing in the barn that should have been sown in the field.
