W. Mason DunnWriting my destiny.
W. Mason Dunn was born in Bossier City, Louisiana, received her undergraduate degree from Texas College in Business Administration and earned a graduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. She is an established professional with over 22 years as a higher education experience for the military while traveling with her husband before he retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service. The breadth of her personal and professional experiences have contributed enormously to her fascinatingly inspirational writings. Waletta has been married for 31 years to retired Marine, Donald Michael Dunn. She is the proud mother of two young, adult children, Michael Stewart Dunn and daughter, Ashley Elaine Dunn.
Mrs. Dunn participated in many writing and speech competitions in her younger years. She traveled her home state of Louisiana participating in numerous contests, winning many of them. One of her most memorable competitions was the “Voice of Democracy Contest”. Mrs. Dunn was originally interested in journalism until she took her first accounting class in college, which catapulted her career in a different direction. However, inspired by her award-winning sister, screen and play write, Judi Ann Mason (“Sister Act II; Back In The Habit”, “A Different World”, “I’ll Fly Away”), Mrs. Dunn never lost her love and passion of writing.
Melissa MalloryPutting thoughts on paper, and bringing words to life.
I am a Stay-At-Home mother of two beautiful children and a Housewife to one amazing man, who all color my world daily with their antics. I wear many hats and dwindle into many things because my mind is always that beezy (busy). Apart from being a fantastic mother and dedicated wife, I am a business owner, writer/author, and wellness ambassador.
A native of Miami, Florida, I matriculated to the Florida State University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Upon completion of my college career, I taught general education at a private school for several years, before accepting a position helping teens and young adults become self-sufficient. During my fourteen years in Tallahassee, I was an active church member, who stayed busy working in different departments. I guess you could say, I had many gifts, talents, and interests I did not mind exploring.
When I became a mother, I had to let go of some responsibilities, but surprisingly this new role sparked up old and new passions. I want my children to understand there are no limits to what they can do, and no reason for them not to try. What better way to show them than by example.
I currently live in Maryland with my husband, daughter, and son.
Kimi JohnsonEncouraging women to connect with their purpose.
She says, “I was at a really low place in my life. The last thing I thought I was good enough to do was publish a magazine. I had been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years and had absolutely no experience in the magazine industry. I thought, Me? Do a magazine? But how Lord? I’m not good enough. I started thinking about everything I didn’t have that I thought I needed. Well, those thoughts carried on for years until one day my pastor walked into my office and said, ‘I’m not sure why I’m showing you these but…’ and he placed a stack of magazines that he had published on my desk. That’s right you heard me! The Holy Spirit knows how to get your attention. I burst in tears and that was the day I connected to my PURPOSE!
It wasn’t long before I found out I was more than enough to operate in my purpose. All I needed to do was step out on faith and God would do the rest. Now I have embarked on a movement to let women all around the world know they are more than enough! Kimi launched the first issue of Purpose Driven Women Magazine in April 2015.
