How Caroline and Colby Harries Are Changing the Narrative of Infertility

When you meet Caroline and Colby Harries, you immediately sense the warmth that radiates from their presence. Their smiles are genuine, their words are intentional, and their hearts are unmistakably devoted to serving others. They are the kind of couple who listen deeply, love openly, and lead from a place of unwavering faith.
Whether you find them praying over someone at a conference, sharing their story online, or opening their arms to couples walking through one of life’s most painful paths—infertility—the Harries are a picture of grace in motion. With humility, strength, and compassion, they are changing the narrative of infertility by infusing it with community, purpose, and the hope of Christ.
This April, in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week, Victorious by Design is proud to introduce Caroline and Colby Harries and shine a light on the life-giving ministries they’ve founded: Moms in the Making and Dads in the Making. These organizations are not just support groups—they are sacred spaces for healing, faith, and transformation.
FROM HEARTACHE TO HOPE
“Like so many little girls, I dreamed of becoming a mom,” Caroline shares. “You grow up thinking it’ll happen in a certain order—love, marriage, and then a baby. But our story looked very different.”
Caroline and Colby married in 2011 and began trying to grow their family soon after. Instead of a joyful pregnancy announcement, they were met with the painful and unexpected diagnosis of infertility. What followed was a journey marked by deep faith, long seasons of waiting, and ultimately, a calling greater than they could have imagined.
“About a year into our journey, I felt the Lord prompting me to connect with other women walking the same path,” Caroline recalls. She opened her home in June 2013 to just six women. It was a simple beginning—one filled with prayer, honest conversation, and shared tears. But that small group would become the spark for something extraordinary.

Today, Moms in the Making has grown into an international nonprofit with over 90 in-person and virtual support groups, all offering Christ-centered communities to women experiencing infertility.
“We’ve celebrated over 500 miracle babies,” Caroline says, “but more than anything, we’ve seen thousands of hearts healed.”
A MINISTRY BORN IN OBEDIENCE
Only a week after receiving their infertility diagnosis, Caroline remembers sitting in the passenger seat as she and Colby drove to Austin to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. “God told me to start a blog,” she says. “I resisted. I wasn’t a writer. I was a numbers girl, working as a financial analyst.”
Still, she obeyed.
What she discovered was a space saturated in sorrow but starving for hope. “So much of the infertility community felt negative—and understandably so,” she says. “But I knew God was calling me to something different: to be a light.”
From blog posts to small gatherings, and now a global ministry, the Lord has used Caroline and Colby’s faithfulness to create places where the weary can find rest, and the hopeless can find healing.

BUILDING ON THE ROCK OF FAITH
Faith is not just a part of the Harries' ministry—it is the foundation.
“In the midst of waiting, it’s easy to make the baby the idol,” Caroline shares. “But we’ve always believed that God must come first. When we seek Him above all else, He gives us the peace, joy, and strength we need—even when we don’t yet have the baby we long for.”
This commitment to Christ is the heartbeat of Moms in the Making and Dads in the Making. Prayer, worship, scripture, and a deep sense of belonging are woven into every gathering. “We’ve seen salvation, deliverance, and spiritual awakening,” Caroline says. “This isn’t just about babies. It’s about becoming whole.”
DADS IN THE MAKING: GIVING MEN A VOICE
While Caroline poured into women, Colby recognized the quiet suffering of men navigating infertility.
“Men are told to be strong, to fix the problem—but no one tells them how to grieve, how to support their wives, or how to process their own emotions,” Colby shares. “It creates a deep sense of isolation.”
Out of that awareness, Dads in the Making was born—a companion ministry for men walking the road of infertility. Whether they’re facing the diagnosis themselves or walking alongside their spouse, these men are finding strength in numbers, truth in scripture, and a safe place to be real.
“In this space, they’re reminded they are not alone. That their manhood is not defined by their ability to father a child. That God still has a plan,” Colby says.
