FROM JAMAICA TO GLOBAL LEADERSHIP
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Bryan attended Excelsior High and Kingston Technical High before embarking on a journey of higher education, professional growth, and service. She pursued her studies at Northwestern University, the University of West Georgia, and Leadership Sandy Springs—institutions that shaped her into the dynamic leader she is today.
“During my childhood, I have always had a desire to serve others and to help the less fortunate,” Dr. Bryan reveals. “I was head girl and president of my high school in Jamaica, and even then, I had a deep passion for leadership and serving others, always striving to make a positive impact on my peers and community.”
Her early professional career included working with Air Jamaica and the Jamaica Public Service Company before migrating to the United States in 1987. With a strong academic background in education and leadership, she became an educator, mentor, and guidance counselor, later transitioning into the real estate industry, where she built a thriving business and a strong reputation for integrity and excellence.

HONORARY CONSUL FOR JAMAICA IN ATLANTA
Appointed on October 1, 2018, Dr. Bryan became Honorary Consul for Jamaica in Atlanta after the resignation of Judge Jewel Scott. Now in her seventh year as Honorary Consul, she has served thousands of Jamaicans across the Atlanta metro area and beyond, offering support, resources, and guidance to strengthen their legal, economic, and social standing in the United States.
Her role includes assisting with:
· Passport renewals and citizenship matters through the Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA).
· Emergency travel certificates and work permits.
· Providing aid to Jamaicans in economic or civic hardship.
· Advocating for investment and trade opportunities between Georgia and Jamaica.
A champion of economic diplomacy, Dr. Bryan has worked tirelessly to enhance business partnerships between Jamaica and Georgia. Through networking initiatives, investment discussions, and cultural exchanges, she has promoted trade, tourism, and foreign investment opportunities for both regions.

“My mission is to create lasting relationships between Jamaica and the State of Georgia. Improving trade and investment is one of my highest priorities,” Dr. Bryan states.
One of her greatest achievements was leading the first-ever Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA) outreach, which assisted over 2,000 Jamaicans in securing legal documentation and consular services.
A CHAMPION FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH AND TRADE
Beyond consular affairs, Dr. Bryan is a fierce advocate for trade, investment, and business development. She believes that economic collaboration between Jamaica and the U.S. is key to fostering sustainable growth. Through her efforts, she has:
· Connected Jamaican entrepreneurs with investors in Georgia.
· Promoted real estate, tourism, and business development between both regions.
· Engaged in high-level discussions on U.S.-Jamaica trade agreements.
During a special guest lecture at the University of Georgia’s School of Law, she spoke on “Investment Opportunities in Jamaica,” emphasizing the role of business process outsourcing, agribusiness, and entertainment industries.

“International trade is vital to economic development. We must create pathways for investment and opportunity.”
EMPOWERMENT THROUGH EDUCATION & MENTORSHIP
A lifelong educator, Dr. Bryan has transformed the lives of thousands of students through her mentorship and scholarship programs. She is the Founder and Chairperson of The Elaine Bryan Foundation (EBF)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to youth development, education, and mentorship. As a Registered Microsoft Education Partner, she created the Microsoft-EBF STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Mentorship Program, providing:
· Laptops for students in need.
· Internships at Microsoft, Google, and other tech giants.
· Scholarships and career opportunities for underprivileged youth.
Her belief in educational empowerment has also led to strategic partnerships with universities, businesses, and community organizations. Through her foundation, she has:
· Helped students secure thousands of dollars in scholarships.
· Launched career counseling programs to prepare youth for professional success.
· Created college readiness workshops and digital learning initiatives.

In addition to her diplomatic and philanthropic work, Dr. Bryan is a highly respected real estate expert. As the owner of Elaine Bryan Realty, she has built a successful brokerage that serves a diverse clientele of over 30,000 people.

Her reputation as an expert in the housing market earned her a spot as a real estate commentator on HGTV and Fine Living Channel’s “What You Get for the Money.” She has also authored several “Financial Freedom Columns,” educating readers on wealth-building strategies, homeownership, and financial literacy.

“Real estate is one of the best investments one can make. It’s about creating long-term wealth and stability. Homeownership is the foundation of financial security. My goal is to help others build wealth through smart real estate investments.”
Her philosophy is simple: Invest wisely, educate yourself, and secure financial freedom for future generations.
PIONEERING RECOGNITION AND AWARDS
Dr. Bryan’s dedication, leadership, and service have earned her multiple prestigious awards. She was honored with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, signed by President Joe Biden, recognizing her 4,000+ hours of service to the Jamaican diaspora, the Caribbean, and the U.S. She also received the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award, established by President George W. Bush to honor exceptional volunteers. The awards were presented at a ceremony held on May 20, 2022, in Orlando, Florida, making her the first Caribbean-born person in Georgia to receive both distinctions.
